Hello everyone, as I said yesterday apologies for not being around. I just lost myself in my DT work, it's fab...so exciting :0)

I have another Valentine card to share tonight I am really enjoying colouring these images in. Here's the card...

I coloured the image using my speccies, both the pens and stamps are available from here Again I have kept it simple as it will probably be for a man, here is a close up...

Thanks for stopping by.

To my Valentine

Good evening everyone, a bit late blogging today I've had one of those days...

Today I have another valentine card to share, as most of the people I work with are women I am having to make most of my cards suitable for men, does anyone else struggle with male cards? Anyway I found this little cutey hiding in my cupboard so decided to use him.

I wanted to make him look all fluffy so tried to get the effect using my Spectrum Noir pens.

I used a backing paper from the Strawberry kisses cd rom and printed on to Centura Pearl paper, I don't use this paper enough, I love how it prints :0)

So that is it from me for today :0)

Thanks for stopping by.

Super Duper Girl...

Good evening everyone hope you are well.

Today I have a card that I made for my cousins little girl I take her to pre school twice a week and last week I overheard a conversation between herself and my 4 year old son. Lucas was telling her how when he is older he wants to make really big buildings and with no thought to it Macy replied "I want to be Super Man"!! (she is quite a tomboy) bless her :0). Anyway when you see the card I have made you will understand why I chose this image. So here is the card...

I made the card into an easel card, I just love making this style card.

I used some coredinations cardstock and embossed a star from one of my Crafters Companion embossing board. The image itself is I coloured using....you guessed it my speccies which are available from here along with the embossing board and cardstock. Here is a close up...

The image is actually a Mo Manning digi stamp which you can find here I used different colours for the skin than usual and I am very pleased with the results, thanks to the very talented Jacqui Dennis who shared the colour combo. I'm sure everyone is familiar with her work but if you're not check out her blog here it's fab!

I hope Macy will like it.

Thanks for stopping by.

Trying something different

Good morning all, well it's the start of a new week and I have a poorly little boy at home today :0( Hopefully a day of rest on the sofa will sort him out.

So today I have another Valentine's card to share, I have used the stamp before but I fancied trying something a bit different. So here is what I have made...

As you can see I have gone for a monochrome look (well kind of if you don't count the red). I have been inspired by other cards I have seen like this so thought why not give it a go. The stamp is from Lili of The Valley and I used my Spectrum noirs to colour the image in. In total I used 9 different colours, the whole of the cool grey set and then 3 reds for the bow for a shot of colour. I also used some black soot distress ink around the edge to give it a vintage feel. Here is close up...

I am quite pleased with how it has come together, the boyfriend even said how much he liked it. I wonder if he will remember seeing it....I could send it to him lol.

Thanks for stopping by.

Edited to add..

So those of you with a keen I will notice my spelling mistake (blush) well the little problem has been corrected and here it is with the correct spelling lol

Valentine

Hello everyone hope you're having a great weekend. I feel pretty rotten to be honest I came home from work yesterday with a headache I haven't been able to shift it since.

Anyway, I have another card to share with you today on a Valentine theme. Again, the same as yesterdays card I have used a stamp from Lili of the Valley, so here it is...

Again I have kept it very simple and used up the leftovers from yesterday's card. I have actually made a promise to myself to use up my scraps as I go, I have boxes and boxes of scraps that I put to one side that I will use "one day" but never do lol. Here is a close up of the image...

I have coloured in the image with my speccies which you can buy from here, they really are fab pens.

Well I'm off to snuggle on the sofa with some painkillers. Thanks for stopping by.

Together Forever

Good evening everyone!! Hooray for the weekend, well what's left of it anyway.

Today I have a Valentines card
to share with you. A few people at work have asked for some so I thought I would be prepared ahead of time and make a few for them to chose from. So here is the first card i have made to share with you...

I have used this really cute image from Lili of the Valley I am getting quite a collection now and love to colour them in. Here is a close up...

Of course I have used the fab Spectrum noirs to colour in. The card itself is quite simple (for me anyway) but i think it looks ok.

Thanks for stopping by.

The same but different

Hello all hope you have had a good day. Today I have two cards to share with you. For both the cards I have used the same digi stamp but used different colours and layouts on the cards. So here is the first one....

I had forgotten I had this paper until I found it hiding in my cupboard the other day, so that is where I got the colouring inspiration from for that one. I also used some of the jewel coredinations card stock and than finished with flourishes and flowers. Here is a close up of the image...

Now onto the second card...

So as you can see its the same image but different colours. I took inspiration from my work with this one, a majority of our bouquets at the moment are yellows and purples for spring, so I thought I would do something on that theme. Here is another pic...

So both cards have been made using an image from Saturated canary, I think I might be a little bit addicted lol. For both images I used my trusty speccies available from here.

Now for some REALLY EXCITING news! I have just been told I am allowed share. I have been asked to join the Crafters Companion Design Team!!!!!!! I can't begin to tell you how excited I am about this. I absolutely love CC and feel very proud to be on the design team :0) So thank you Leann for asking me to be part of such a talented team xx

Thanks for stopping by.

Time for tea and....

...chaos at the crafting (kitchen) table. Good evening everyone I hope you are well.

Today I have a card to share with you and inside is a little different. Firstly I'll fill you in on the chaos bit. Firstly I some how managed to spray one of my new stamps with spray and shine instead of stick and spray. I then learnt a valuable lesson NEVER sneeze whilst holding and open pot of embossing powder!! As the night drew on I should of probably just told myself to "put down the speccy pen and step away from the table". There I sat colouring away with a feeling something wasn't quite right with the colouring, on closer inspection I realised I had printed my digi stamp onto a regular card and my two boys had only been pilfering my best Neenah card from the printer!! Not impressed...

Anyway that's enough off me rambling I shall now share my card

A close up of the image

Now for the inside

Apologies for the poor pics the light has been really bad today. So back to the card, inside I made a matchbook to fit a tea bag. Thought it was perhaps a good idea as a Mother's Day card or get well.

I made the card using a Strawberry Kisses stamp and a stamping companion page from the coordinating cd rom. I then coloured the image with my spectrum noir pens, all of which are available here. I think next time I might print some extra backing paper and decorate the inside a little more.

I hope you like and thanks for stopping by.

A little bit of magic

Good morning all, another freezing morning brrr. I didn't realise till yesterday how red my face goes when cold, I didn't know wether to laugh or scream when I caught glimpse of myself in the mirror lol.

Anyway today I have another Saturated Canary card to share with you. I have made the card for my niece as it is her birthday tomorrow, she is a very girly girl so this image was perfect for her. Here is what I came up with...

I made the card a little bigger than usual and made it  A5, one of the good things about digi stamps is you can change the size to suit what ever you are making. As I mentioned before I downloaded the image from a shop on Etsy called Saturated Canary, which you can find here.

Here is another picture and a close up of the image...

I used my Spectrum Noir pens from Crafters Companion to colour the image apart from the leg warmers, gloves, and bodice. For these I used a very pale pink whispers pen and then painted over with some mica powder (mixed with a little water) to give a satin effect look. You can't really see in the picture but in real life there is quite a sheen. I then completed the whole card with some diecut florishes and flowers and stamped "Niece" and the number 4 using my Wow embossing powders.

I hope she will like it, thanks for stopping by.

More Strawberry Kisses

Good morning everyone.  I hope you have a lovely weekend, mine doesn't really last very long as I work Saturdays but I made the most of yesterday and managed to get some crafting done. I had a project in mind that I wanted to make so I set to work, although it seemed yesterday I was going to make everything hard work for myself and if it could go wrong it did! So here is what I made...

As you can see I have used one of the Strawberry Kisses stamps from Crafters Companion they really are so cute. The image was stamped onto Neenah cardstock and the coloured in with my Spectrum Noir pens. Here is a close up of the image...

Then I did something a little differnt on the inside...

Inside I made a box which will house something delicious to eat, I haven't done so yet as it will end up being me that eats them! I used my boxer board to make the whole thing and then used on of my embossing boards to embillish with cupcakes and also cut out an aperture on the box lid.

I hope you like and thanks for stopping by.

Hugs, B xx

Strawberry Kisses Valentine

Good evening all, gosh it's even colder today brrrr! Me no likey....anyway nothing I can do about it so hey ho. Today I have a Valentines card to share with you. Now I decided to experiment a little with my speccies and make a bit of background using them which I will show you now....

And a here is a close up....

I wanted it to look like a dark starry night so I got to work with the grey set and this is what I came up with. I also used the blender pen to take colour off and make a starry effect.

So I shared this card with my "lovely boyfriend" who informed
me that technically my image did not look right as the cute couple were looking at the moon they would actually be a silhouette and therefore I should have coloured them in black grrr blinking men lol. So here is my excuse...
One day Snow and Pup went on a lovely romantic date and at the end of the evening they drove to a gorgeous picturesque spot where they sat and gazed at the moon and stars all snuggled and cosy together. However in haste the couple got out of the car and forgot to turn the lights off. So as they sat in front of it you are able to see them!
The End ;0)

I made the card itself as an easel I masked off the image and gave it a good old spray with spray and sparkle. Both the stamp and glitter spray are from Crafters Companion.

I am still looking at the card thinking it needs something else ....

Hope you like and thanks for stopping by.

Strawberry Kisses

Good evening everyone, hows your day been? Good I hope! I for one have been freezing, I can not wait to be able to take my coat off at work lol. I have a really quick, simple card to share with you tonight. I received my order of all the Strawberry Kisses rubber stamps this week. This is a new range from Crafters Companion, they are sooo cute! Here is the card this time for a 40th birthday (alot of big birthdays this week)....

Here is a close up of the image which I coloured in using my speccies, I also coloured the bling with the pens to coordinate with the card :0)....

Well I hope you like it. I sat colouring some more images last night but won't share them until I have made them into cards, which I will hopefully be doing this evening.

Thanks for stopping by

Saturated Canary

Good evening everyone, hope you are well :0) This evening I am going to share a card that I made for a friend of mine who turned 30 this week. I have had this stamp or a while now from Funky Kits and knew it would be perfect for my friend.

The image I coloured in using my speccies and used my Tim Holtz shabby chic papers for the card and embellishments. Here is a close up of the image.....

I learnt the artist of this stamp actually has a shop on Etsy where she sell her images as digi stamps, so I took myself over to the shop called Saturated Canary and bought myself few :0)

I hope you like and thanks go stopping by

How long?.......

Well hello!! I hope you are well and had a fab Xmas. I had a very busy week leading up to it at work and after it was all over it took me nearly a week to find room for all the kids presents lol. So my plan this year is to be more organised no more last minute things to make or do ( I'll see how long that lasts lol)..... I have managed to get a couple of cards made so far so I will share one this evening. My mum asked me to make a card for my cousins eldest son who turned 16 this week, I really do struggle with male cards especially older ones!! I hope he liked it.....

I used a Mo Manning digi image (they really are fab!) and coloured it in using my spectrum noir pens. Then put the card together using some freebie papers from a mag and used some brown coredinations cardstock, as I struggle for embellishments for male cards I embossed a star from my ultimate pro and stuck that on, I am quite pleased with how it looks. Here are a couple more pics...

Thanks for stopping by :0)
