New Darice Embossing Folders

Good evening to you all, tonight I have two cards to share using the new Darice embossing folders there is so many to choose from if you receive a newsletter from Crafters Companion you will have already seen the new folders...they're FAB!!

Here are the two samples that I made

The first card is using the Chandelier folder. Firstly I apologise for the poor photo it was such a dull day and the card did a complete tour of the house but this is the best I could come up with :0( I embossed with centura pearl card...which I LOVE embossing, such a great finish. I also added some stickles to give a crystal effect. A very simple card but effective :0)

My second card is using one of the 2.5" x 12" border folders

As you can see it is the Paw prints folder this time I embossed onto coredination card stock which again is perfect for the folders!! I cut the strip in half and added the pieces as a border to my card base and used some decoupage from the Pawfect Pals cd rom which go together pawfectly!! :0)

I hope you like and be sure to grab your folders from Crafters Companion.

Dreamy Daisies

Good morning!! Well the snow is finally disappearing yay!! but has been replaced by rain :0( Any way enough of that, this morning I am going to share a set of cards that made using some of the new Stamp it stamps from Crafters Companion the actual stamp sheet that I used is Dreamy Daisies.

The cards are 4"x4" and I also made a box with a small acetate window to put them all in. As you can see they are very simply put together but still pretty :0) Here are a couple of close ups

The images were stamped onto Neenah card and coloured with my Spectrum noir pens. I mounted the images onto centura pearl card which I had embossed using a Darice damask embossing folder. I also used some from purple centura card stock.

Here is a picture of the box which I added a acetate window to so you can see the age through.

I think it's a perfect little set for note cards and will beaming more for gifts.

Thanks for stopping by today

Today I wanted to share a card with you using one of the stamps from the Floral fancies stamp sheet. I LOVE hydrangeas so had to make a card with it :0) and here is what I came up with...

I coloured the image in using my Spectrum noir pens and added a little touch of glitter here is a close up...

I hope you like and thanks for stopping by today :0).

Blooming A-May-Zing mini album

Hi there everyone, how we all doing? Well have you had a chance to watch any of the live shows from the CHA in California on Create and craft? It's been great seeing all the pics posted on Facebook I don't mind admitting I'm jealous! Lol. Today I have quite a big project to share I used Nigel's new Blooming A-May-Zing cd and I made my first ever mini envelope album there are lots of tutorials to follow on the net... I just loved making it and I also love the fact I finished it!! I'm terrible for starting big projects and not finishing them lol. So here are the pics...I warn you now there a lot so make yourself comfy and hopefully enjoy :0)
The front cover

Complete with a beaded closure including an Epiphany charm.

The inside

As I said before this was made from envelopes which were then made into pockets. So throughout the album I made cards to tuck into them I also made pocket pages to include tags.

I used some of the card companions and made them into larger tags.

As well as using the fab papers I made more large tags using the great square papers which is one of the sections on the cd rom. I loved making the album it was a great way of using lots of the elements from the cd. I will certainly be making more!!

Thank you for taking time to stop by today I hope you have liked what you've seen.

A brand new range to Crafters Comanion...

As I type this we are just 45 minutes away from the lovely Leann Chivers launching a brand new range of stamps from Crafters Comapnion by Stamp it. I am here tonight to share one of the cards that I made...

I will be honest I have never made an oriental card before but have really enjoyed using these stamps. I stamped onto Neenah card and coloured the image using my spectrum noir pens. I love the turquoise and red combo and will certainly be using that again. I cut a frame using a diesire frame and added some die cut flowers along with some coredination card and just kept it quite simple.

Right I'm off to get ready to tune into Create and Craft for the 8.00pm show with Leann, don't miss it!

A Blooming A-May-Zing sneek peek

Good evening everyone I hope you are all managing to keep warm I have been so cold all day, so I am now wrapped up all cosy with my handmade knitted blanket I must remember to share a pic of it. It was knitted by my Nan, Gramp, Mum and Aunty... I love it! Something to treasure :0)

So tonight I have a sneak peek of the lovely Nigel May's latest Cd....Blooming A-May-Zing it is gorgeous filled with stunning images and papers.

Here is a couple of pics

How gorgeous is this image!?! This was one of my more simple cards simply printed from the shaped card section, before cutting out I put my card through the printer on the opposite side a printed a backing paper. The sentiment and butterflies are from a embellishment page.

This is one of the card companions which as always are great. The colours on the cd are beautiful. I LOVE the lilies!!!!

So this cd is being launched at this years cha and will be shown live on Create and Craft tomorrow, I can't wait to watch.

Before I will go I will leave you with a sneak peek of another sneak peek......ooooh what a tease lol

I will be back soon with LOTS more pics of this make :0)

A card with a little decoration gift

Good evening, I hope you are well. I have another set of samples to share tonight this time a card with a little gift and box to match. I used Sheena Douglass' Faith stamp from the Little bit sketchy range. And here is what a came up with.

I coloured the image with my Spectrum noir pens. I embossed some Core'dinations card and used a couple of my Die'sire dies to decorate. Here is another pic of the image.

I then made a little hanging ornament to match....

Apologies for the pics I just couldn't get a good one. I stamped a mirror image of the bird by inking my stamp rolling my brayer over the top and then transferring onto Neenah card that way I had an image front and back. I sandwiched some fishing line between the two birds and added some beads and attached to a cone. Here's another dodgy pic lol

Last of all I made a box to put it in.

I hope you like and thank you for stopping by today :0)

A little bit sketchy

Happy Sunday everyone!! I am back today to share a card I was asked to make as a sample. This time using one of Sheena Douglass'Little Bit Sketchy stamps. I decided to make my own blended background again with my Spectrum noir pens this time I used Neenah card. Here's what I came up with.

The stamp is called Lakeside shore. Before I coloured my background I made a mask for the moon... and then set to colouring, this is how i was left with the white of the moon. I stamped onto my background with versamark and used a black embossing powder. Here is another pic.

I am quite pleased with the result.
I have lots of ideas for my neglected silhouette stamps now.

Thanks for stopping by.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Good evening everyone, I hope you have all had a lovely christmas and enjoyed the holiday. I had a great time with family and friends. Now it's time to get back to normal and get back into some sort of routine (easier said than done lol).

Today I have a couple of makes to share with you using one of the Darice embossing folders. The lovely Louisa McLean has been showing the folders on Create and Craft today. The first thing I have made is a box.

I embossed four panels for the sides and added gems to the centres of the flowers. Here is a close up of one of the panels.

I used Core'diantions Elements pad which work perfectly with the embossing folders :0)

My next make is a card and this time I tried something different. I used some Centura Pearlcard and my Spectrum Noir Pens and created a blended background. After using the same embossing folder as before this is what I created.

I was really pleased with the result and will definitely be making more very quick and simple but very effective. Here is a close up.

Thank you for stopping by today will be back tomorrow with more makes to share.

Bye for now, hugs
