Peek-a-boo

Well hello!! I hope you are all well? Christmas is fast approaching and the panic is just starting to set in lol. Yesterday was my nephews 3rd birthday and I knew straight what sort of card I wanted to make for him!! Whilst at Craftaganza the lovely Sara Davies taught us how to make a peek-a-boo card. So using my Toread Cd Rom I printed some backing papers and a sheet from the toppers section and set to making the card....

The outside....

....the inside

I loved making the card and will definitely be making more, if you fancy giving it a go yourself there is a fab tutorial by the brilliant Pam Leng. I'm not gonna lie my sister-in-law had more enjoyment from the card than Joel lol he was far too excited with the presents haha!! ;0)

Thanks for stopping by today

Bye for now

Something different....

...and absolutely AMAZING!!!!

Well I can't tell you how much fun I had using the new dies from Crafters Comapnion they are new quilling dies enabling you to make stunning flowers!! You can find them here. The first sample I have to share is an arrangement I loved making it even though my arms did ache from using the Grand Caliber...the new eBosser is on my Christmas list lol. Anyway here is what I made.....

Each leaf and flower is wired and I arranged them in oasis for dried flowers as I would an arrangement with fresh flowers.

Leann is going to be showing the new dies on Create and Craft tomorrow morning at 10am so be sure to tune in.

New stamps alert!!!

Good morning everyone I trust you are well :0) Been a bit of an emotional one with my eldest starting his first day of secondary school....it's scary where the years go! With the boys back to school I hoping I will get back into my blogging routine and find the time to visit everyone :0). Today I am going to share a card that I have made using a new stamp from the Strawberry Kisses range from Crafters Companion.

A very simple card for me but with the ornate Die-sire die I didn't think it needed anything else. The kitten has been coloured with my spectrum noir pens, i stamped the image on to acetate and sprayed the wings with spray and sparkle which went over the wings I had coloured. I stamped the kitten for a third time and cut it out leaving the wings off and decoupaged :0) Here is a couple of close ups...

Thank you for stopping by today, I'm off to scoff a nice slice of carrot cake YUM!

Honey I shrunk the die-sire and Humphrey.........

Good evening all :0) Have you seen the new absolutely fantastic range of dies that Crafters Comapnion have launched? They are called Die-Sire you can find them here, they really are marvellous!!

Tonight I am going to share something I made using the Grace frame rather than making a card I wanted to try something a bit different....so here it is.

As you can see I have used the extremely cute Humphrey for my image and coloured him in with my Speccies. Isn't the frame just gorgeous?! So this I have actually made into a box which houses this...

A mini version!!!! Which I made into a keying, I must admit I had to experiment with the shrink plastic and found that the printable shrink plastic was best to cut with as it wasn't as thick as the Ranger version for example (which was hard to release from the die without it snapping). I have also fallen in love with shrink plastic.....so much fun it's something I have had for donkeys ages but have been too scared to use it lol

Here is the box and keying together so you can idea how small the die shrank down to.

Thank you for stopping by, hugs B xx

Where did the POTW go? Lol....

Well I set my programmes to record on create and craft...got home from work and found out the Mulberry Wood POTW had sold out! To be honest I am not surprised the range truly is fantastic and I have so enjoyed working with it :0) Do not fret though if you missed out you can still get a fantastic deal from Crafters Companion

Here is a card I made using the cd rom

This is using a topper from the frame section of the cd rom with some coordinating paper. I also cut out a couple of snow globe from the embellishments section which I added to couple of die cut snowflakes.

For something a bit different I decided to give a bit of dimension to the card using my Collal glue gel.

More Mulberry Wood sneak peeks

Good evening a late one for me today as I have had quite a busy one, after having a very upset 10 year old with an ear infection this morning who so badly wanted to be at his last sports day at primary, we decided to let him go. I can't tell you how proud I was of him he was made captain of his team and was fantastic!! and his team won which meant he got to lift the trophy :0) Any way onto today's sneak peek...

I have used a decoupage sheet from the cd rom which had a few little extra embellishments on including paper beads which I am loving right now!!

A very clean and simple card for me but I think it works well and the image is definitely one of my favourites on the cd rom.

Don't forget Crafters Comapnion will be launching the cd rom and stamps this Friday...I can't wait for the shows! I know everyone is going to love it, I am still full of ideas of projects I want to get started on :0)

Thank you for stopping by today and welcome to my new followers and of course thank you for all your lovely comments :0)

I'm still here!!! Wahoo...just in time for blog hop time :0)

Well I'm back...what with gallivanting and Royal Ascot and football tournaments and school meetings I haven't done much else......except having a play and making samples which I haven't been able to share, hence no posts. I am here today though to share a sneak peek from a new range from Crafters Companion, I in my opinion it is one of there best yet, I'm liking it just as much as Humphery and that's saying something!! So to celebrate the launch we are having a blog hop, yay!

As many of you know, Christmas starts in June for many papercrafters, so Crafter's Companion are starting to feel a little festive, launching the first of a new range, with artwork designed by artist Ian Hallows. The ‘Christmas in Mulberry Wood’ range (including six stamps, co-ordinating CD-ROM and two papercrafting collections by Hunkydory) will be Pick of the Week on Create & Craft from Midday on Friday!

To celebrate the launch, Crafter's Companion have organised a Blog Hop around some of the Design Team's blogs! If you have landed here from Pam's blog then you are hopping in the right direction. If not then you need to pop over to the Crafters Companion Newsblog to begin.

Everyone on the Design Team had so much fun creating with this new range from Crafter’s Companion and to celebrate the launch of these stunning new collections on Friday 29th June you have the chance to win the brand new 'Christmas in Mulberry Wood' CD-ROM.

All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning this great prize is visit each blog in order and then go back to the Crafter’s Companion News Views and Inspiration Blog to leave a comment about the range and the sneak peeks you’ve seen. On Friday June 29th, Crafter's Companion will pick two comments at random, to win the prize.

Here is what I have made using the cd with one sheet from the arid companion section and some of the gorgeous papers...

What's that then you say, well it my first ever double twisted easel card and certainly not my last :0)

I used my spray and sparkle which looks much better in real life.

I hope you like what you have seen so far :0)
From here, you need to hop to Gemma’s blog.

Keep popping back each day this week to see more sneak peeks!

bye for now, hugs B xx

An A-May-Zing Christmas

Well have I been a bad blogger :0( I have so busy lately with DT stuff and life in general I have had to put blogging aside. I promise I will catch up with all your lovely creations, it will probably take me all week lol

Today I wanted to share a couple of cards with you using some stamps from Nigel May's A-May-Zing range and this time it's Christmas and it is fab!! There is a truly A-May-Zing double disc cd rom and 12 rubber stamps. The products will be launched at 9.00pm tonight on Ideal World, it will be great!

The image is coloured with my Speccies and I used papers from the cd rom, the postcard is also on there ( there is a whole section of them) I distressed it with my inks and added a ribbon and bit of bling and hey presto! :0)

The next card is totally different and less traditional...

I used my speccies and also added some detail using my quickie glue pen and embossing powder. Again the papers are great! This one really looks if it has metallic silver on it but is actually printed :0)

I hope you like the cards and can tune into Ideal World tonight at 9.00pm. Apologies again for not being around I will hopefully soon be back in the swing of things!

A wedding card and a plea

......no more rain!!!! Not sure anyone will be able to do anything but hey was worth a try. I am a little emotional today, this morning I had to wave goodbye to my eldest son who is 10 yrs old. He and his class mates have gone on their school trip and will be back Friday, they are not allowed to phone home which I don't really like but apparently it's all part of the adventure and growing up. I am sure he will have a blast none the less and will have plenty to tell me when he gets back!

This afternoon I have a wedding card to share that I was asked to make for someone. I keep thinking about getting another wedding stamp but I love this one.

I stamped the image onto Neenah card and coloured it in with my Spectrum Noir pens. I actually used my Sweets and cupcake treats embossing board from Crafters Companion and embossed and cut out a circle removing the embossed line which I then stuck onto a black circle which was embossed from the same design but this time I left the embossed line on. I was then able to stamp the image onto it using my rock-a-block. I embossed and cut out the wavy circle and nested the image onto it. Here's a close up of the image.

I decorated with my usual flowers and flourishes and personalised with the couples name.

I hope you like and thank you for stopping by today. Also welcome to my new followers I really appreciate you all takin the time to visit me.

Bye for now, hugs
