Hello!! I hope everyone has had a great weekend, I am here today to share a little gift that I made for a friend of mine, now I know that she has received it I can share it with you.
As many of you know Crafter's Companion released some new embossing boards recently and they are quite simply AMAZING!!. I have adapted the birdhouse on the Sweet Things Board to become a Gingerbread House and here is what I came up with....
I used some kraft card stock to make the house itself, the board really does make it easy.
Bye for now

As many of you know Crafter's Companion released some new embossing boards recently and they are quite simply AMAZING!!. I have adapted the birdhouse on the Sweet Things Board to become a Gingerbread House and here is what I came up with....
I used some kraft card stock to make the house itself, the board really does make it easy.
I decorated the roof with crackle paint, diamond sparkles and some gems which I thought looked just like sweets.
I also used the corresponding cd rom Sweet Treats to print some backing paper and cut out these sweets which I also added some spray and sparkle to.
I glued some hook and loop tape to one side of the roof so it can be opened like a box and as you can see added a couple of sweet treats.
I trimmed the house and top of the roof with some bakers twine and made a base for the house to stand on. I finally finished it all off with some wadding and more diamond sparkles for the snow. I die cut some Die'sire Fir Trees which I also decorated with the backing paper this time I used a small circle punch to make the sweets smaller. The cute little gingerbread man and sentiment are both freebie stamps which came with the latest Crafter's Inspiration. Here are a couple more pics....
Thank you for stopping by today, feel free to leave me a comment, I love to read them :0)Bye for now
